Description
This is a smaller shrub which can reach 2 m (6 ft 7 in) in height, and its branches can be low-lying, spreading, trailing, or climbing. The thin, somewhat succulent, or fleshy leaves are rounded, and the leaf stalks are attached at the middle of the ivy-shaped leaf blades. The flowers of the Pelargonium peltatum are arranged in a cluster on a stem, called an “inflorescence”, and spread out from the stem like an umbrella, in an umbel fashion. There are 2 to 9 pink flowers in the inflorescence, with 5 dark-streaked or marked petals each up to 2 centimeters long.
