Umbrella Tree is a large ornamental tree.Plants will reach 30 m tall. Plants are easy to grow, but need some pruning to keep them in bounds. The plants are hardy in the landscape. Brassaia actinophylla needs full sun to partial shade with a rich well drained soil mix. Plants are fairly fast growing. It grows well in warm, humid climate in both semi shade and full sun. The tree is often grown in gardens, also sultablefor keeping indoors.
Planting and care
The deep planting encourages the developing stem to send out roots to help stabilize the plant and perhaps eliminate the need for staking. Also, deep planting keeps Bangada bulbs cool when temperatures soar. Enrich the soil with leaf mold or well-rotted organic matter to encourage good drainage.
