Albizia saman is a species of flowering tree in the pea family, Fabaceae, that is native to the Neotropics.
Planting and care
Water yourrain trees two to three times per week for the first three months after planting if it does not rain. The soil around the roots must be kept uniformly moist but not muddy. Give the tree 2 to 3 gallons of water each time.

- Root-knot nematodes can infest these trees, making them appear water-stressed if the infestation is severe. There is no treatment to rid the tree of them, but with proper, regular watering and fertilizing, with good drainage, the trees are usually vigorous enough to survive the infestation. Sterilizing pruning tools helps prevent an infestation.
